I really liked it， more then god of pain！ Cannot wait for the next book but so sad we have to wait。Cecily and Jeremy are so cute and Jeremy became so soft！

For me， the series is getting better and better。 They really served the enemies to lovers trope。 Jeremy & Cecily， as a couple， reminded me quite a bit of SebNaomi and AdrianLia。 From the first book you could tell that they already knew each other， and in this book it was shown that they were already seeing secretly。 I liked their development as a couple， and I'm glad they're already together。 Cecily， even if she didn't have that many scenes in the other books， I found her an interesting characte For me， the series is getting better and better。 They really served the enemies to lovers trope。 Jeremy & Cecily， as a couple， reminded me quite a bit of SebNaomi and AdrianLia。 From the first book you could tell that they already knew each other， and in this book it was shown that they were already seeing secretly。 I liked their development as a couple， and I'm glad they're already together。 Cecily， even if she didn't have that many scenes in the other books， I found her an interesting character who deserves to be protected; she's caring （designated as the mother bear of the group）， smart， loyal and brave。 It's pretty sad what happened to her in the past， but with Jeremy's help， she's become more independent and stand up for herself。 Jeremy， although he is constantly compared to being similar to his father， deep down he cares about his loved ones and with Cecily， he learned to open up more about whom he really is。 He's no longer the sweet kid we saw in the Deception Trilogy。 Both learned to close those old wounds that kept tormenting them。 I liked the heart-heart conversation between Adrian and Jeremy， it was something he needed at the time。 I wish I would have seen more moments between Jeremy and Lia or at least Lia's pov in this book。 Also a Kim's pov but that was rewarded with the conversation between her and Cecily， that connection between mother and daughter was beautiful and touching， and they are always leaning on good times and bad。 I thought Xander's reaction to Jeremy was funny， but I know it was natural; He was protecting his only daughter。 Love Cecily's friendship with Ava and Glyndon the most。 Landon is a menace and chaotic all the time， but for some reason that's what attracts me to know what's going on in his head。 Mia is a gothic queen and love how she put Landon in his place; she's definitely my favorite character， even if her book hasn't come out。 I was surprised by the appearance of Maya， she looks a lot like her Aunt Reina。 I loved how Nikolai is so obsessed with Brandon and every time he is mentioned he can't help but dig deeper about him。 Eli， with just a few mentions and with what he did， has me at his feet and I need to know everything about him。 Honorable mention to the Russian Roulette scene， that was crazy， chaotic， and hot at the same time。 Overall， the book met my expectations and I can't believe we have to wait until August next year until the next book。 。。。more

ever since the couple was introduced and we got the crumbs from GOM & GOP。 I loved Jeremy in the Deception Trilogy （Fav Rina couple） as the little boy who watched his parents’ marriage burn them and his mother lose herself to her mental illness。 Also， Cecily comes from my favorite Elite couple。 Both come from different worlds， different upbringings， and that in itself made this coupling really intriguing。I will say that GOP still remains my favorite of the three books。 I feel like this book had everything it promised BUT I wanted something more。 I can't pinpoint it but for one I wish we had gotten more mafia information but that is just me wishing for more insight to Adrian lolI think a lot of people assumed this book would have the pregnancy trope and I for one wanted it really badly but yeah that was NOT at all what this was about。 Jeremy is the carbon copy of his dad and that will never not be a good thing。 Theories and whether it came true or not:Cecily and Jeremy first had something during the initiation night？ CorrectCecily crush on Landon？ CorrectLandon and Cecily had a thing？ False， neverCecily has primal/dub con fantasy？ CorrectCecily wanted Landon to be one？ CorrectJeremy stalking her？ CorrectCecily helped Landon spy and lead to the fire that almost killed Jeremy？ CorrectDid Cecily know Landon's plans for the fire？ FalseCecily was in Jeremy’s room when the fire happened？ FalseDid Jeremy torture Cecily to get info about where Annika is？ False Cecily signs up for the club that Landon is a part of and fills in the application to have someone fulfil the fantasy she keeps in the darkest parts of her mind。 She wants to be chased and taken and when she applies for that fantasy， she includes ALL the answers to lead the player to be Landon but Jeremy my man hacked her phone after the initiation night and claims that fantasy for himself however they don't have sex， and this starts up an even bigger problem for Cecily since now he will not leave her alone until he has her and ruins her for Landon。''I loathed and dreaded the idea of being left behind''Jeremy showed extreme signs of insecurity that I am sure he kept hidden within himself。 It all stems from the fear of being abandoned by his mother when she would go into her ''ghost'' self when he was growing up until he turned 6。 That created this fear within himself of being disregarded and left behind。The fact that the girl he is obsessing over admits to having a major crush on Landon and the fact she said his name after they had sex for the first time created a hole in Jeremy's black heart。 ''I fell in love with a mafia prince''Cecily's backstory was a tough one。 She had a traumatized past relationship that led to her being what Remi would say a ''prude''。 She hated the notion and thoughts of sex with someone and stayed away from conversations all for a fucking good reason。Her high school boyfriend drugged her and attempted to r*pe her while she was still conscious but couldn't physically move。 The only reason he didn't was because she vomits on him， and he leaves her and she is unable to speak up because he took photos of her in that state and was powerful enough to use them against her and her family。 She felt shame allowing this to happen after Kim told her he was not good enough and gave bad vibes。 She had to learn Kim wasn’t wrong in a horrible way。 This issue causes Cecily to have sleep paralysis and phase out during conversations or everyday moments。 Jeremy sees this side of her and immediately feels drawn to it because of his mother's past issues he witnessed which mirrored Cecily's struggles。''He was the person whose company I found peace in after a long day''He brings her peace during the times she cannot find it and she brings peace to his demons as well。 They each bring a balance to each other and I really liked the ying yang aspect。 ''Cecily is neither。 She's the gray。 She's the colors。 She's every rainbow I never thought to stop and watch''Jeremy just needed someone to bring him out of the black and white world he lived in and bring some gray and rainbow to him in order to truly be complete。 He never wanted anyone like her and everybody before her was just to fill a sexual need， but nothing ever mattered enough for him to find someone worthy of his time and heart。The part where she confesses what she did for Landon and that she loves Jeremy but he can’t see past his anger and her betrayal？ Honestly I got Lia and Adrian vibes when he finds out that Lia plotted to kill him to help her childhood friend。 I felt absolutely shattered for Jeremy because he had to go through that loss of trust， and I felt for Cecily knowing how guilty she felt the entire time。After he tells her to run – basically ending their relationship she ends up being almost r*ped by a guy who was in her class and who admits has been after her since her ex bf failed the first time （they were working together） and he needed to get to Cecily since he never fails with the other girls。 Before he can do anything Jeremy shows up and cuts his throat。Cecily being drugged and hospitalised basically let’s Jeremy have it for abandoning her when she told him she loved her and only wanted him。 She uses her safe word and lets him go this time。Jeremy spends the next two months literally following her during the summer， going to where she is and spending time with her family and friends just to be around her。 They still don’t get back together until Jeremy’s guard makes up a lie that Jer is dying provoking Cecily to admit she has wanted to be with him and got scared but she forgave him。I LOVED her relationship with her parents。 Xander and Kim made the most adorable appearance and Xander takes the crown for immediately going after his grandfather’s shotgun when Jeremy shows up at their door。 Loved getting his POV and seeing how madly in love he is with his ''green''。We also got another Adrian POV and can I just ask that he always show up in every book？ Even its random and makes no sense。 Also got more info about Landon and Mia and how he calls her ''Mouse'' so I guess that will be her nickname。 I don't what the hell is going on with them and WHY she kicked him in the balls。 We only got that one short scene with no other explanation。Landon pushes Cecily to get Jeremy out of the way and off the market before that scene with Mia。 Before that we find out that Maya has wanted her parents to arrange a marriage with Jeremy and Mia is also made to look like she and Maya both have a thing for Jeremy？ it's not explained full， but Landon makes comments about it。My theory？ Landon fears that Mia wants Jeremy and if he is off the market she won't anymore？ lol Also he has something called ''Agalmatophilia'' which means he prefers statues or dolls and guess who is described as a gothic doll？ Mia and guess who doesn't speak just like a statue or a doll？ Mia。Ava and Eli？ No interactions were shown BUT there is something seriously weird going on with them。 It is mentioned that one of the guys from the club was missing after he was seen hanging around Ava and yeah even Cecily knows it was Eli。Niko and absolute psycho and I love it。 He is possibly the stupidest/smartest and funniest guy within the group and even though I do not read MM books， this is one I need to read to find out what goes on in his head。I know Rina will take a break before we get Landon's book next summer， so I am hoping that MAYBE the White mask is either Kirill and Sasha's kid and/or most likely scenario that it is Mia。 Cecily describes the white mask to being leaner than all of them。 。。。more
